Full Description
BS 5400-5 is part of a large series of standards concerning the design and construction of bridges. This part makes recommendations for design of bridges that use a composite construction (e.g. employing concrete slabs acting compositely with structural steelwork), and it covers the use of both materials. It is aimed principally at professional engineers involved in the design of bridges, particularly those working in the context of highway and railway engineering.
