Requirements for component parts, material, thickness, width and length including tolerances, graduation lines and figuring, accuracy, finish and marking. An adhesion test for coated ribbons with printed markings is given. Illustrations showing typical markings.The requirements for metric marking and figuring have been replaced by BS 4484-1:1969.
